It all started during the pandemic when Fancy was working security in a nearly empty office. One day, while walking past James' desk, she noticed his World of Warcraft mug—exactly the same one she had at home. Feeling a spark of connection over something so small, she left a post-it note on his cubicle that read, "Add me on Blizzard, Fancypants#12277. For the Horde! PS I have that same coffee cup." She snapped a picture of it with his desk in the background on her phone before carrying on with her walk. Little did she know, that simple note would change everything.

Four months later, James’ friend and co-worker, Benja, was cleaning out James’ desk when he came across the post-it note. James had already moved on to a new job, but Benja couldn’t resist telling him about the note. Intrigued, James added Fancy on Blizzard and sent her a message. To Fancy's delight, he had finally found her note! They quickly started chatting, discovering a natural connection that would eventually lead them to meet in person. A couple of months later, they shared their first date—playing chess on the rooftop of James' apartment, and from that moment on, they were inseparable.

Shortly after, James moved in with Fancy, blending their lives and becoming a fatherly figure to three of her kids—Heidi, Lucy, and Ryder. Over the last five years, they’ve shared countless adventures as a family, growing closer with every passing day. Through it all, Fancy and James have always felt a deep connection, knowing that they were meant to be together. Now, as they prepare for the next adventure of their lives as husband and wife, they couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead.
